WellWoven Media, LLC is a Single-Member Limited Liability Company held and managed by Tanika Spates. WellWoven Media engages communities in public health and health equity, using digital media, outreach and partnerships.
WellWoven Media, LLC supports health in all places and policies (#HiAP) and social determinants of health theory (#SDOH); WellWoven Media, LLC is committed to best practices in community partnered participatory research and programs, such as transparency, respect, power-sharing, co-leadership and two-way knowledge exchange; WellWoven Media, LLC products and services emphasize affordable access and active learning, and discourage stigma.
Tanika Spates, MPH has served for more than ten years in public health education and research, community partnership development and civic engagement. She has worked on projects with UCLA, Charles Drew University, Healthy African American Families II in Los Angeles, the RAND Corporation, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and California State University Dominguez Hills. Areas of focus have included infant mortality, menopausal health, youth violence prevention, depression stigma, longitudinal child health and public housing. Tanika earned her B.A. degree in Biology from Sonoma State University in California, and her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Community Health Education from the California State University of Long Beach. Tanika is the Principal of WellWoven Media, LLC and current Editor of WellWovenAtlanta. Tanika resides with her husband and two children in Gwinnett County, near Atlanta, Georgia.
